Help. My console output is (partially) unreadable (sh.itjust.works)
I’m using tty here, and not VT. I assume the problem is caused by my locale, more specifically - by inability of tty to render glyphs of my language....

I want to run certain applications that are Windows only, and I wanted to know if there is any sand boxing as most of the programs that are Windows only tend to be invasive. I know VMs are another option but there is usually a performance toll with that and I am running a low to mid range laptop

Not everything actually requires a GUI, obviously. But anything that requires configuration, especially for controlling a hardware device, should have a fully functional GUI. I know Linux is all about being in control, and users should not be afraid to use the command line, but if you have to learn another bespoke command syntax...
