Anyone had this probleme before? I can Install Debian bookworm just fine, but on the same machine, during the installation of Tumbleweed and Fedora the system just freeze. On Fedora it always freezes at the step “Configuring kernel-core X86_64”...
I may give it up, but just playing with an old laptop and looking at linux for the first real time and of course, the old laptop happens to have this network adapter… 🤦🏻...

I’ve got an Epson Stylus SX435W all in one. It’s working with Image Scan! for Linux 2.30.4, but is not being detected by Epson Scan 2. I’ve checked everything I can find, it just looks like my scanner is too old for the software....

I had multiple disks in my PC, one with Windows and one with Linux. The drive with Linux had the boot record I guess; I removed and replaced that one with a new disk and again installed Linux on it (so the Windows disk has been the same the while time), but I can no longer log into Windows while this new disk is installed and...
I got an old Windows 7 laptop that was going to be thrown out and decided to put Linux on it (see previous thread here). Most people suggested I go with the latest stable version of Debian, so that’s what I installed. I’ve mostly used Windows, but I do have some experience with Ubuntu....
Hello. Trying to figure out how to make something similar on my on config file. Image is from AwesomeWM’s homepage. What I have tried so far is to go to the documentation and look at the “Personalize Your Tags” and “Add Widget” sections. Are these considered to be more widget tags?
I’m on Manjaro Linux with Gnome. When I attach a USB HDD to my laptop, it mounts as /run/media/username/uuid. But for some reason, it is mounted as root and not with the owner set to the currently logged in user. For that reason, I can’t create new directory’s on this HDD, after I attached this to the laptop....
