I noticed that I only had 5 GiB of free space left today. After quickly deleting some cached files, I tried to figure out what was causing this, but a lot was missing. Every tool gives a different amount of remaining storage space. System Monitor says I’m using 892.2 GiB/2.8 TiB (I don’t even have 2.8 TiB of storage...

I thought I was safe from this if I installed windows on a completely separate harddrive… I clearly overestimated Microsoft’s ability to make on operating system that does not act like literal malware. Oh well! I guess I’m 100% linux now.
Hi, just recently it’s foss had an article about homelabs. Of course I digged in, since there is a small nuc working tirelessly in the corner of my routers closet. So far it just crawls some web pages for me and sends emails accordingly to my filters. So I hoped to find new exciting stuff to let it crunch through. The articles...

Dell has got to be one of the most frustrating companies that put out a linux laptop. They put out a laptop certified for ubuntu but then never support newer releases. A big part of their hardware is always proprietary drivers like webcam, fingerprint reader etc… Then you update to a new LTS release because lets be serious...
Are there any issues?
To preface this, I’ve used Linux from the CLI for the better part of 15 years. I’m a software engineer and my personal projects are almost always something that runs in a Linux VM or a Docker container somewhere, but I’ve always used a Mac to work on personal and professional projects. I have a Windows desktop that I use...
Hey, I’m trying to calibrate my Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 on Bazzite OS, but I am running into issues. My problem is that my cursor is ~10px off from my pen tip, which makes drawing quite weird. Common sense would take you to KDE Plasma’s settings app, but the “Drawing Tablet” Input Device setting does not feature a tablet...

Hello, I wanna know which distro could be could for productivity (not gaming). Maybe a debian based one, I don’t know and I don’t care about the desktop env. Thx!
I followed all steps: I disabled network manager’s automatic search for networks with sudo systemctl disable NetworkManager.service, I executed sudo ip link set wlp4s0 down as well, sudo macchanger -r wlp4s0 returned [ERROR] Could not change MAC: interface up or insufficient permissions...
While the exact details of this vulnerability are still investigated (see hereif you want to catch up on the topic), I wanted to share some of the thoughts I had regarding to what this incident means for the wider open source ecosystem....

Is this a totally crazy idea? Talk me down before I hurt myself.
Due to hardware reqs we’re tossing the idea at work to replace the Microsoft termserv with Linux. Due to the userbase being all windows fans we’d need a full on GUI and i’ve been prodded towards Mint. Good idea or bad?...
