For those systemd users, it seems not as a big of a deal as “the register” poster might imply. In the end it’ll depend if the new soft reboot is called or not (it’s doubtful distros will change default behavior either).
My partner and I are thinking about getting a Brother laser printer for home use in the near future. How difficult is it to get a newer model working in a Linux ecosystem? It’s getting tedious to put in my password every time I open YaST, I know what I’m doing and since I’m the only one who uses my computer the security risk is something I’m willing to take. I found an Ubuntu forum post but the solution didn’t work for me. Any ideas?

So, I’ve installed Manjaro quite while ago, and I let secure boot disabled during installation. Dang! Is there a way to keep (most of) my system and enable secure boot and LUKS after the fact?
The main cloud services don’t even work natively (GoogleDrive, OneDrive, iCloud) basically the only mainstream choice is Dropbox. I tried to use Google Drive in Mint, and it’s a pain to get it to work, and usually it stops working after computer restarts....
edit: I am not specifically tied to pgp, I just want an encryption method that uses a public key to decrypt and a private one to encrypt
