20gb ram, 10gb zram, 10gb swap, default values. What should I change?
I assume I should get rid of most of the swap. I also read somewhere to increase… swappiness of zram?

Edit: Everything seems too complicated, so I just went with this odysee.com/simplescreenrecorder-2023-09-03_11.02.…When you try to copy something, you copy something and then you paste it. This is fine, but I wish there was an app which would help me copy multiple items at different times and seamlessly help me paste it....
I got a cheap netbook style laptop for traveling some weeks ago (HP Stream 11" with 4 GB of RAM and a N4120). Didn’t expect much more from this hardware than opening a few browser tabs and doing some retro gaming via Steam....
On Thunderbird for example, there’s no way to aggregate feeds from different places, into just one common view. I’m looking for aggregating all feeds from different places into a common view, where I can globally just keep what I want to read from everywhere and remove what I’m not interested on....
Hello, I am sick and tired of Ubuntu relentlessly pushing snap. I currently am running a Windows Ubuntu Dual Boot and would like to replace the Windows partition with Garuda OS (They are on the same SSD). Eventually I want to move all my files from Ubuntu to Garuda and then delete Ubuntu....
Hey, beautiful people of Linux, I need some advice. I’ve been tinkering for the past several weeks on flavours of Plasma DE on Arch and Tumbleweed on my Nvidia/Alder Lake setup. Suffice to say the experience was nothing short of getting waterboarded in Guantanamo by Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity high-fiving each other while...
Linux From Scratch 12.0 incorporates GCC 13.2, Glibc 2.38, GNU Binutils 2.41, and other updates. The Linux 6.4.12 upstream kernel is the default kernel version used for the LFS 12.0 guide....
Hi, I use linux mint and recently installed a bunch of desktop environments, and I think that it might have caused this issue. How do I fix this? I want to avoid resetting, but if there isn’t a solution, I can. This does not occur in another distro, or another kernel, but occurs in other desktop environments. Solution:...
Hi all, I’m dipping my toes into Linux again after almost 30 years, and I’m looking specifically for any distros that will run on a mid-2010 Macbook (Intel Penryn-3M Core 2 Duo with 4GB of RAM and a 1T HDD). Video is integrated Nvidia GeForce 320M....
Chrome OS saw a good raise too. OS X(Mac) saw a decrease.
Does anyone have USB-C dock recommends?...
I want the easiest to configure/theme wm and one that comes with sane defaults. Also I currently use cinnamon, and I’m not sure how to escape from that(everything in it is just so nice) but I want the speed of a wm
It’s really annoying, and I would be fine with constantly killing it, but stopping it from spawning would be best. The process is named cinnamon-close-dialogue
I’ve been using i3wm for long enough that i now can’t go back to a user interface that requires me to use a mouse to get stuff done. However, I’m setting up an old laptop that will be used by both me and my SO for mainly media purposes, but also as my general-use computer for basic tasks. He has been using windows since...
Hello fellow Linux Lemmings!...
I feel like there is no web browser with a sane default configuration that I can recommend to other people. All browsers are preconfigured in a way that harms the privacy of their users or include services that no one wants such as Pocket and BAT....
