I’m looking for an open-source alternative to ChatGPT which is community-driven. I have seen some open-source large language models, but they’re usually still made by some organizations and published after the fact. Instead, I’m looking for one where anyone can participate: discuss ideas on how to improve the model, write...
I use the MX Linux distribution (Debian-based) as my dual-boot. Recently, I’ve started building a new PC, the crux of which will be a Radeon RX 7900xtx GPU. Since it showed up before everything else, I crammed it into my current PC to replace a GTX970 to test and play around....

For my phone, I use Graphene OS. What would be the best desktop Linux option to match the level of security and privacy that GOS provides?

Hello all,...

Good day, I have some really hard time getting my GPU passed through to a VM, my current host is Linux Mint 21.1. I have been having some trouble doing this and was wondering if it is a common theme or there is room to make it better....
First of all, I’m sorry if this isn’t the best place to post this; but I’m not aware of any more general tech support / PC building / ASUS forums here that I could post this to instead....

Hello, everyone. I have this problem where my external HDD doesn't get detected. On an old laptop with Windows 7, it gets detected, but it won't open. On Fedora, it doesn't even get detected on the whole system. In the KDE partition manager it does show up as "sdd", but it will not show up in Dolphin or in the terminal, when...
Needed to do the partitioning manually, but couldn’t find the answer anywhere. Is 16GB for each a bit too much? xdd
Hello! I recently upgraded my laptop with 500 gb of storage but it’s on another disk from where I have installed linux. How can I expand my linux root partition when linux is installed on another disk and I am also dual booting with windows? I am using linux mint.
Personally I used to use Pidgin, but since I moved my XMPP to Gajim because of OMEMO I have no need to stay tied to it necessarily. So I’m looking to expand my horizons, and I figured here’s as good a place as any to start a discussion about Linux IRC clients....
