I want to do this for my raspberry pis since they don’t have an ACPI system in place. I think it would look really nice combined with XFCE and the chicago95 theme. So I would prefer it if it were showing it like the windows 95 shutdown screen, maybe using an image file? There’s a lot of information on the shutdown process on...
Just upgraded and the tracker-miner process is taking a constant cpu load of about 15%, and iotop shows a constant disk write that varies between 2 and 11 M/s....

Today, in coordination with Ilya Lipnitskiy (the maintainer of libcue) and the distros mailing list, the GitHub Security Lab is disclosing CVE-2023-43641, a memory corruption vulnerability in libcue. We have also sent a text-only version of this blog post to the oss-security list....
I’m a sucker for non-flat UI themes. Does anyone know of any nice and crisp skeuomorphic themes? (besides the elementaryOS theme)...
Hi everyone,...
Hi all,...
I got tired of pinentry popping up and interrupting whatever I was doing; I didn’t find a solution elsewhere, so I wrote a little bash script to address this. This is designed for (poly|i3|way|…)bar users. The blog entry (no ads, no tracking) linked has the script verbatim, plus some rambling about the why and wherefore....
