Dunno if this is Wayland, Thunderbird, Firefox or KDE causing this issue but in the past few days I've been giving Wayland a go. Been much snappier and no issues but for Firefox not taking focus when I open web links in Thunderbird....

Another good lesson about why we should trust only FOSS ecosystems
Some of the headline features in this release are: the removal of support for the Itanium architecture, the first part of the futex2 API, futex support in io_uring, the BPF exceptions mechanism, the bcachefs filesystem, the TCP authentication option, the kernel samepage merging smart scan mode, and networking support for the...
Not sure if this is the best place to ask for this kind of help but here it is. I am setting up IOMMU using this Arch Wiki article and have set up a passthrough for a selected GPU using a script placed at /usr/local/bin/vfio-pci-override.sh, due to having 2 RX580’s....

I’m trying to install my first Linux distro to set up a Plex server and one of the few things I know is you need a wired internet connection. My intended server location is across the house from my router, and there isnt much room there to set up...
Followup to why you should switch to Nobara Linux. Also, some scripts I’ve compiled for distro hopping the fedora flavors.
My objective is to ditch windows & utilize my triple monitor desktop as a cockpit style dashboard for my homeserver & lan devices along with always open widgets like music, calculator, etc....
I’m planning on moving (back) to Linux from Windows, but I’m not sure which desktop environment I want to use. What’s the easiest way to try them all out? Just do a bunch of dnf/apt installs? Is there a distro or project out there that makes this easier?...
After some researches I find two ways to have HDR pass through on Linux x86: Libreelec and kodi “stand alone session”....
