Plasma randomly warns that my SSD is going to die?
I’m using KDE Neon with the latest version of Plasma. Sometimes I get a warning that my SSD has poor health and may die soon. When I check the SMART stats the drive seems fairly healthy. Is this just a Plasma bug?

Has anyone had success using xdelta3 for patching gog games
So I’ve got cyberpunk phantom liberty 2.0 but to update to 2.1 heroic game launcher wants me to download the hole game again, gog galaxy through wine is not an option so I’m looking at xdelta3 and innoextract to manually patch game files. But I’m hitting a break wall and seems to fail with every attempt using xdelta3

Update handling after rebasing Fedora Silverblue
So I am trying out fedora silverblue and recently rebased it to uBlue to get access to hardware decoding for non-free codecs and for some QoL improvements. Before rebasing, I used to get both system updates(update to image that silverblue is based on) and flatpak updates through the gui package manager(gnome-software in this...

Great experience with Wayland on Nvidia with GNOME 44
I mostly use AMD and have been using Wayland since GNOME 40 without any problems, loving the consistently perfect frames and fantastic scaling (with Wayland programs, but nowadays I use nearly no X11-only programs)....
Create image from SSD with I/O errors
I have an SSD from a PC I no longer use. I need to keep a copy of all its data for backup purposes. The problem is that dd reports "Input/output error"s when copying from the drive. There seem to be 20-30 of them in the entire 240GB drive so it is likely that most or all of my data is still intact....

Another pick me a distro
Hello, fellow internet users. I am currently using Debian but would like a distro to try the new Gnome on. I have been using Debian for a while and I love the stability, but would like newer packages. I also, for no rational reason, would like to be able to use the default package manager exclusively. I used Fedora before and...
