If anyone wants to talk shit about Checkerboard Vans slip-ons I will throw fuckin hands. I have 3 pairs on the go at all times - around the house, going shopping and going out and have for about 20 years which has nothing on the origins of the design which originated in 1976.
It’s not as comfortable as other offerings on the market, and the lifespan is quite a bit shorter, but it can fit certain lifestyles fairly well. It’s not generally regarded as a long haul vehicle though.
