You are really great to resist. Heck if must be difficult say no! Great admiration toward people like you

It’s almost like Dall-E generated an image mixing the visual elements of cake icing, twisted towels, and troll hair.

Don’t tell the BSA.

Fluffy_Ruffs , in Larnell Lewis Hears "Enter Sandman" For The First Time, Then Plays it

People make fun of how simple Lars’ drumming is, and it most certainly usually is, but that is unbelievably impressive to hang onto so many of the details. The way he hangs onto every component of the drumming…I’ve listened to the song hundreds of times and he remembered the drumming better than I could after his first listen.

I love watching the people come on and apply music theory and point out the patterns. It has made me listen harder to new stuff

Funny, but this is basically throwing a fit in public. The right choice is to leave reddit like an adult. It was a toxic place anyway, filled with depressed weirdos trying to radicalize everyone into shitty violent ideologies.

My hope is the depressed weirdos cling to reddit because they’re addicted and normal people keep slowly migrating here. Then we can have normal conversations with less conspiracy tantrums, with more agency because it’s the fediverse and actual community involvement.

linearchaos OP ,
@linearchaos@lemmy.world avatar

I totally believe we already have the best here now. That first round of adopters that are willing to make new communities and experiences are the best. There is something to be said about more (vocal) subject matter experts and niche communities, but what we have right now is a great balance.

If you surf around over there, the toxicity per thread is starting to rise like it did with the twitter exodus.

tootytootwoo ,

Yeah you might be right. Maybe it’s just the nature of the internet, in that it’s a magnet for disturbed people. Well, I hope lemmy ends up with a good % of sane people however big it gets, because I agree, it is a good time rn.

Excavating the gravesite. Sounds morally questionable.

The difference between archaeology and grave robbing is time.

All of those photos have filters etc. Beautiful rock formation, but they do not look like that. Maybe they would be half that vibrant if they are wet while the sun is out like a sun shower or something.

Neat! How come there are apples growing in winter? Or maybe it was an apple that grew before winter, no one picked it up, also it did not fall, so winter comes and voilá?
