The games I’ve spent the most time on (since I got mine before Christmas) are BOTW, TOTK, and funnily enough Factorio. The E-shop does have some decent sales, so just keep an eye out!
If you have someone to play with, definitely get sniperclips. One of the best coop experiences on the switch. This is one of those couch coop games you can play even with people that usually don’t play video games

I'm mildly obsessed with HK lol. I only got it in Dec 2022 and I just beat The Radiance for the first time a few weeks ago. I can't seem to manage it a second time, so I literally just bought the game on Steam and got an Xbox controller because it's more responsive than my Switch. I'm not sure what happened to my life haha
(Still waiting for someone to get my reference though. Not HK related :)
Cloanto, the company that owns the rights to the Commodore Amiga line, have a legal emulator that they sell called Amiga Forever. It’s about half the price of one modern AAA game, and when you download it, it comes with about fifty games of varying notability, and there’s many times more you can just install and play. And it’s all legal.
I would love this to be the industry norm, imagine being able to download a NES! It’s annoying that if we want future generations to be able to experience games of the past (whether to learn from them, or just for pleasure) we need to teach our children about piracy.
Shadowrun for SNES had a pretty fantastic soundtrack. It did a lot with very little and really paints a picture of the setting very quickly. Another candidate from the same era is Planescape: Torment. It had this great haunting ambient sound that made Sigil feel so strange and ancient.
At the time though, if you’d asked me which game had the best soundtrack, I’ve had pointed to Tony Hawk, though I’m not sure if it was 1 or 2. The one with Party at Ground Zero. Found some great music of the era that way!
Technically not my own experience, but my partner plays Dead By Daylight and the community there seems absolutely terrible. I ask them why they play it at this point and they don’t even know.
