I started playing Pillars of Eternity II about a month ago, then I was gifted BG3… and dammit, I’m going to finish PoE first. It’s a very enjoyable game. Lighter in tone than the first one and a bit less brutal with the lore. This time I have a good idea who the pantheon are, but I still occasionally find myself confused about people and place names. I used my saves from the first game to start this one, but I have very little recollection of what the hell I did back then, so maybe I should have started fresh.

Sniper Elite 5, and I’m honestly pretty disappointed in it. The Sniper Elite games have always been my “comfort food” series. Nothing too complex, just popping some Nazis in creative ways when I want a no-brainer, relaxing night. Five, though… I don’t know. It feels so dead and way too easy, even after increasing the difficulty. I never change guns in this one because it seems to make little difference, and the guns are boring anyway. There’s no joy for me in the nut shots anymore :(

Got back to Death Stranding. I felt like delivering massive amounts of cargo on foot.

brebs ,

Jumping back into Skyrim. Spent the week modding the absolute tits out of it. May not actually play it until next week

RichCorgi ,

Replaying Metal Gear Solid and realizing that 10 year old me was a lot better at console games.

cradac ,

I picked up my Elden Ring save again and finally got the courage to tackle General Rhadan yesterday and sucessfully beat him. Now I got a few quests to fulfil ans find the second medallion half to get to the lift.

Other than that I’m playing Sniper Elite V4 for the first time, which is fun to play for a few hours a day.

Just waiting for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew to release next week :)

Fluba ,

I spent way too much time yesterday playing Blackice. It’s a FPS game in a tron-like world. Graphics are in line with the colors and blocky edges. It’s not a super deep game, but it’s really cool when all the colors are splashing around and monster/programs are everywhere. It’s an indie built by I think just 2 guys. Plenty to explore, unique items and modifiers.

I’ve owen it for a bit, but noticed there were a few updates so I installed it again.

Also, Division 2 and Battlebit. There’s a trend.

Just started The Case of the Golden Idol a few days ago, and I think my brain is going to melt any moment now lmao

SnowGator ,

I can definitely see the brain tiredness! I blasted through in a couple days and probably would have enjoyed it even more if I’d slowed down haha. It’s such a gem of a game. I wish there was more like it, but the only game that gave me the same feeling is Return of the Obra Dinn.

I’m playing Vampire Survivors. Saw it mentioned here in a thread the other day. Really fun game for €5!

rockerface ,

Have you seen HoloCure? Same basis, but with cute anime girls, completely free (because it’s a fan-made project) and arguably more addicting?

Thoth19 ,

I have to check this out lmao

Breezy ,

Been dieing to lu bu for most of my time playing games today. I like wo long, fun game, but i suck at counter striking in every game i play, and it seems like the only way to beat this dude. He might be the cause for putting this game down.

ZosoRocks3 ,

I’m nowhere near him and I put that game down already. A bit too reaction heavy for me. Barely got through initial Bloodborne.

Renacles ,

Hold the block button while you deflect, if you miss the timing you’ll just lose some stamina instead of dying.

gargantuanprism ,

Jupiter hell - going to drive me insane

40k boltgun - almost at the end of ch3

Dorfromantik - so cute I’m gonna barf

Ember knights - my partner is obsessed with roguelikes like this so we’ve been trying to beat the newly released last level and it’s very difficult

DeepThought42 ,

Just finished Dishonored 2. Yeah, I know I’m late to that party. It was on sale so I thought I’d give it a try. It was OK. Seemed a bit derivative, perhaps a bit too similar to the Bioshock games. It was also tougher than I was expecting; particularly once I started trying to be stealthier and to get the no-kills checkmark at the end of each level. Needed lots of save-scumming and still didn’t manage to no-kill all the levels in which I made an attempt at that. Ending was a bit meh, despite having low chaos at the end. Got my money’s worth though, so I can’t complain too much.

bungle_in_the_jungle ,

BG3, Tales of Arise, and doing my dailies in Genshin Impact.

papafoss ,

Just started Deadline. Pretty fun rouge like FPS that runs well in proton.

sirfancy ,

I think you meant Deadlink, but yeah that’s what I was gonna put too. Really gripping. Dying in it gives you that bittersweet push to make you want to try again.

papafoss ,

Yep it’s like if Doom and Hades had a kid that is going through a cyberpunk phase.

It also looks really good!

sirfancy ,

For sure! It seems like DX 12 mode has raytracing and it really adds a lot of polish.

papafoss ,

Might try it! I am running it on linux through proton. Which in its default mode it preforms pretty dang good. Its really amazing how optimized the indie games coming out now are vs what we get with triple A

Valheim. Just crafted iron scale armor for the first time with my wife and it looks bad-ass as fuck. If we weren’t playing this I’d either be playing STALKER (as usual) or taking a second stab at The Witcher 3.
