Looks like the admin for kbin.lol has some pretty valid gripes with the current status of Kbin. I have to agree, you can tell the platform is not up to speed at all....

lemmy.world had a DDOS in the past 24 hours, Lemmy.ml was showing problem, but now it is entirely unreachable. lemmy.world was showing “Error!” page (server still reachable), but that seems to have only lasted for a hour or so.

TL;DR: The current Mastodon-signup is only removing the confusion of users on first glance, because it either hides the server-choice altogether, or leaves them with a choice that is impossible to make at this point of their Mastodon-journey. Dont forget to do your part by telling other people not on lemmy to try it. Its content has improved a lot so ask them to try it again if they didnt find communities they liked before. It will help the continued growth :)
