New Fediseer frontend (fediseer.lemmings.world)
I’ve created a Fediseer frontend that’s easy to use!...
Instagram reels replacement
I’m trying to find where in the Fediverse I can get my fill of short form videos....
Lemmy Schedule - an app for scheduling posts (schedule.lemmings.world)
I’ve made an open source tool for scheduling posts to Lemmy, you can find it at schedule.lemmings.world. It can be used by users from any instance and it can be self-hosted if you wish so!...
fediverse services - links
I am curious about the fediverse outside of lemmy. Is there any good documentation or recommended services? I’ve seen talk of mastadon, matrix, and kbin but I don’t understand how use them with my current Lemmy account....
I made an account in Toast.ooo for the art thing but it won't let me log in.
Welp, I guess there’s next year.
Any Lemmy apps which allow swiping between posts? (kbin.social)
I'm looking for an app which allows me to open a post and then just swipe to the left to see the next post down. So far I've tried Jerboa, Connect, and Sync and all seem to want to perform actions on whatever comment you happen to swipe on rather than move the entire post/thread.

Some annoying bugs
The show context button is broken, it doesnt display the original comment the received comment refers too....

Matrix address: how to give it? Should it be protected from spam bots? (matrix.org)
Personal websites often give an email address for contact, as a mailto:[email protected] link. And the address is often obfuscated in a variety of ways to avoid its harvesting by spam bots....

First steps after booting up my own Mastodon instance
So I have set up my own Mastodon instance and it’s empty. What should I do to fill up my instance with content? And how do I do that other users of Mastodon on other instances see my “tweets” on my instance?
Short Videos and Playback
Would be cool if we can upload short videos to a peertube instance and embed them into posts rather than relying on reddit, YT, or Vimeo....
Does an instance not take into account local time zone vs instance/server time? (lemmy.world)
I noticed when I sort by new, some of the posts are in the future. Is that just an issue with .world (my home instance) or something broader?

Are there any /r/netsec or cybersecurity focused groups on the Fediverse?
Not asking for illegal activity stuff, but for pentesting/CTFs/red teaming kind of activities.
Subscribing to Mastadon
Hello,...
What information is public and is anything considered private?
I read that if you author a downvote it is public information. What other information is public to the network? Are subscriptions public?

looking for Android and iOS devs for a great fediverse project
Working on an awesome Macro/Microblogging project to bring to the Fediverse. Very excited as it has been built based on hundreds of users feedback regarding Mastodon and the Fediverse. I know time is precious so not looking to suck up anyones time. I respect whatever bandwidth people have to give.
Will I be eventually able to access Threads and Bluesky from my Lemmy account? (lemm.ee)
From what I understand, Threads will be joining the fediverse, and Bluesky is going to be federated. Will I eventually be able to access both from my Lemmy instance? I’m also still trying to wrap my head around the whole concept so I’m not even sure if I’m asking my question correctly
What exactly are the differences between Mastodon and Misskey?
Exploring the fediverse has been fun, but I’m still trying to figure out things. I have a mastodon account, but also decided to check out other fediverse projects and came across misskey. Made an account or miruku.cafe, and it seems quite similar to mastodon to me. Are they very similar?

Fast post userscript for Lemmy (github.com)
I got tired of hitting ⌘Enter and not having my post automatically go through, so I wrote a little userscript that enables exactly that.

Are posts supposed to be exactly synced across instances?
I’m very new here but I decided to check and compare the posts in a community on lemmy.world (where I have my account) and that same community on the instance where it resides and the posts were almost all completely different! Is that how it’s supposed to work or are they supposed to be synced? Sorry if this is a noob...
