I'm Starting A Search Engine For The Fediverse
Hey everyone,...
Could we use this sorting algorithm on Lemmy? (linklonk.com)
I found this link aggregator that someone made for a personal project and they had an exciting idea for a sorting algorithm whose basic principle is the following:...

Concerns about lemmy.world
The instance has been down several times over the past few days?...
Warning: You cannot delete posts or comments on Lemmy. It stays up forever, and is in direct violation of GDPR and other national privacy laws.
Title says it. Apparently lemmy devs are not concerned with such worldly matters as privacy, or respecting international privacy laws.
Can some explain to me how to create a community(subreddit) on lemmy?
i tried to look up how to create a community online but can’t find anything, do you need permission from the instance admin
Mastodon alternative with RSS
Is there any mastodon alternative AP microblogging platform with support of RSS feed of my account like lemmy and peertube have such options

I have some questions about the Fediverse
This post at the top of the community homepage explains and answers all of my issues....
Which microblogging platform should i ideally host?
Opinions on which microblogging federated platform is currently the most stable yet developed one ? I am currently hosting a gotosocial one, but the federation is sometimes a little iffy, so i am in need of some help on deciding what would be the best one to host while being compatible with most of the fediverse.
If we're going to have an effective strategy against FB/Meta, we should clear up some misconceptions around defederation
((I’m not an expert, I’ve been reading up on things as much as I can. If there’s an error, I’ll happily correct it!))...

how did we survive threads earlier this year? (kbin.social)

Having a bit of a weird one
I’m trying to post some stuff over at literature.cafe, but it seems it isn’t federating. I checked the modlog to see if I was banned, but nothing came up. When I attempt to press over to read some stuff in the meta community, it bounces me elsewhere. Does anyone know what the issue might be?
The Fediverse is working just as intended.
I used to think that there would be 1, main ‘Fediverse’ with all of the ‘big instances’ connected to each other. The recent Threads debacle has shown me otherwise....
