With today’s news of Letterboxd being acquired by an investment company, I got to wondering if I should start weaning my movie obsession off of there and onto something more open before the inevitable enshittification begins. I did a cursory search and found nothing promising, but figured the braintrust here might know...
I always am keen on more coverage
EDIT: Thank you for all the great responses! I agree that a forced implementation is no longer the way to go. I’ve left the post as is, aside from this comment, in case anyone wanted to reference part of it. At this point, I think implementation 1 (Sincere Request) is the way to go if anything....

For every one of them their entire post history consists of 1-2 comments or...
With Alphabet taking a hard stance against adblockers I’m wondering if devs are starting to put some focus on PeerTube? It could use some TLC. I feel like it’s a sleeping giant of the Fediverse.
I’ve posted before about my fediverser project, and I am now looking to see who is interested in participating....
… and so now, when I see many successive posts made (in one single community) by robots, I just donwvote the whole lot....
A friend decided to give it a try and so I recommended getting the app, but they got stuck when trying to make an account since they kept getting...
