In many ways, Mastodon feels like rewinding the clock on social media back to the early days of Twitter and Facebook. On the consume side, that means that your home feed has no algorithm (this can be disorienting at first)....

The problems faced and solutions mentioned seem particularly relevant to !fediverse and !fediverse
Kitsune is still pre-alpha so it’s not yet ready for production use, but it’s getting very close now and several new contributors have come along to help out....

Several years in the making, GitLab is now very actively implementing ActivityPub! 🙌...
This was born out of a couple of comments I left on peoples posts of them asking for a clear explanation of key fediverse concepts and them saying the explanations made things a lot clearer for them....

It seems anytime I try to check out Mastodon it is always some negative political view or affiliation of why X, Y & Z is bad. Is this just what most people like boosting or is it a sign of botting to push negativity over the more positive headlines?...

I'm assuming most of us here want a large community. The reality is most people aren't into technology nearly as much as many of the people actually on the Fediverse. For other people who are into tech (like myself and a lot of people here), the federation technology itself being promoted as a core component of the appeal makes...

i have no problems accessing firefish and pixelfed using other browsers (duckduckgo and firefox) but i cant access the same servers using safari....
