When you upload on imgur, click the … then get share links, and then use the URL from the BBCodes part. This will link directly to the image itself, rather than the link you used which goes to the imgur website and pulls people out of lemmy or their apps.

I wish this comment was posted every time that happens. I can’t even access the imgur link without opening in browser, which I only realized recently- before that, I thought posts were just getting removed/deleted regularly and I missed them all.
