Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

Most people just use comments as a polling system -> comment the responses and people upvote what they choose

Or use a polling website and link to it in the post. I don’t think Lemmy supports polls like Reddit does at this point in time

Unfortunately there is no built in poll feature. It sounds like a good idea to add, but it’s nontrivial enough that it should go through the RFC process.

And with some controls available when submitting to reduce spam or brigading

ie: only allowing account older than xx days to vote, only accounts subscribed to the community at the time of posting, lock the poll after xx days, etc
