How do i create a new community? Id like to make a few new ones i dont see on any servers yet

lemmy.ml isn’t currently letting people create communities on it, to encourage users to create communities on other instances and spread things out a bit.

There is usually a “Create a community” button on the top of the page.

Which ones do you plan to create? Did you have a look at lemmyverse.net/communities already?

I play drums so id like a metal drums category to start. I just dont see the “create a community” button. Which page is this button usually located on? Im on ios memmy app.

Maybe memmy does not support this functionality yet. In that case you have to login to the web interface. You can find it in the menu at the top on desktop and in the expanded menu on mobile.
