Petrol Bastard.

They call themselves ‘Tesco Value Prodigy’, yet when I see them put out tracks like these, I’m surprised they don’t have much of a following.

PancakeTrebuchet ,

Blackberry Smoke is nowhere near as big as they should be.

Spoon is an awesome band that mostly flies just below the radar while still quietly releasing awesome records. They have been active since the 90s and they don’t have a single bad album.

Not sure if underrated, but I don’t see people talking about Foreign Air. At all.

Kruelty is pretty fantastic and so far i haven’t met anyone who knows them

Dark Sun is a fantastic album.

100% I love it!

The aptly named “The Band”. They are legends in their own right but I feel they are still underestimated in regard to the catalog and their influence. Big Star would be a close second.

The Smokey Brights. They have consistently good bangers throughout the years. Some of their music was featured in the indie computer game Pacific Drive, and it was fantastic. Save Us Sarah, Fancy Ketchup, and Ocean Shores are some of my favorites. Sad Boy Song too.

Not sure underrated, but Swans is fantastic. Brutal, oppressive, horrifyingly beautiful sound.

Big Thief is the pure opposite, it’s like a comforting hug and warm coffee.

I’m not sure how to look up ratings of bands. There are some I love but did not seem to be well known enough for comparing ratings.

I’m going to mention Filthy Children as an example.

My kids taught me to look at subscriber counts on a streaming service to measure popularity, I go to a lot of live shows and kept getting surprised at which bands were popular or unknown, don’t have a good handle on it. So that’s generally what I do now.

Valley Lodge

They play the opening theme for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
