I just signed up on the discuss.online instance and when I search for communities very few show up. There are many that I know exist, but I can’t see them to subscribe to them from inside this instance. Is there some way I can easily search and subscribe to my account on this instance?
Just wondering what the limit is on rule 2 as I see things like covid vaccine effect questions, what scams are still around and other spicy topics. Don’t want to make anyone upset but it seemed odd.
My run-in with the Hexbear Urbanism community kind of felt like a weird version of one of those subreddits run by conservatives. They’re very ban happy if you say the wrong thing like complain about how bad train systems can be in certain cities.

It looks like a lot of campgrounds, Audubon nature reserves, state parks, and the only major city is Providence which is museums and food.
For example, could alternative terms like “carbon reducing” and “carbon increasing” make it more clear and avoid misinterpreting which means which?
