How can an instance comply with GDPR if they're federated?
So if I understand GDPR correctly: If I want a service/business to remove all my personal data, they have to comply with it in a certain timespan or get in trouble with the law....

When I was on reddit, “Hot” sorting (of both main page and subreddits) usually was more than enough to see ones that are new and popular at the same time...
When I sub to a community, I don’t see all the posts if I’m logged in to my instance. If I go directly to url of the community I can see all the posts....
I see people cross-posting but I don’t know how they are doing it. All I see for posting options on the lemmy interface is a single community I can select.
I loved the stories. Is there a community for horror-stories?

So I moved from feddit.de to lemmy.world and wish to delete my account on Feddit but I have a few posts there that will be useful to others, will they get deleted with the account?
This question studdenly appeared in my mind, A hypothetical liquid that is completely incapable of transferring (consequentially holding too, right?)
