That doesn’t sound normal. I’m using a phone with much slower processors than yours and Google Maps doesn’t slow the phone down when navigating.
One thing to check is if your phone is overheating during navigating? Putting the phone near the windshield where it’s getting roasted by the sun while running demanding application such as Google Maps navigation might cause your phone’s temperature to spike beyond normal operating range, which cause it to throttle the CPU in order to reduce heat. If your phone is hot, try to put it in front of an AC vent or shaded area in your car.
I have a 5ii and had a Z5 in the past. I’ll probably buy a 5v in the near future. Sony has a unique mix of hardware features (headphone jack, removable storage, front facing speakers, capacitive fingerprint scanner, no holepunch) and a near-stock implementation of android that only LG rivaled. I love their industrial design and form factor.
Reddit user for over 10 years, here for good. I was a long time Sync user and at some point I switched to Boost and I’m not sure why because I also purchased Sync Pro at some point. My two favorite Android apps being developed to work with Lemmy made me create a new account here and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Wx is great, but it is really complex for someone who didnt attend classes in meteorology. Sure it is usable, but a lot of its functions are not geared for the average user IMO.
I’ve been periodically installing and uninstalling it on my phone for the past 10 days. Never managed to launch it. Crashes after a second or two every time.
Yes this is great! Between this and wefwef which is Apollo lookalike right now for iOS ppl this is great! Just need everyone over to Lemmy now but that’ll prob take decades
Sorry. I should clarify. I was reading a thread about Apollo going offline and Boost as an alternative so a preregisterd for Boost. I wouldn’t turn down an official Apollo app for Lemmy though.
Some said that they had read Christian acknowledging Lemmy and that he said if it maintains this kind of user growth, he might work on Apollo for Lemmy.
I originally used sync but then moved to boost. They’re both quite good and honestly the main difference between them is just personal preference. Once the Lemmy apps are out, I recommend just using both and seeing which one you gravitate towards more
