Still, my line of work still has many folks on Twitter/X, which makes it difficult for me to fully switch over to Mastodon, and I would love a client that could ease the pains that this social media limbo currently imposes...

So, I’m aware of Syncthing for much of the media, which may help after getting things migrated, but I’m wondering if there may be something more like Clonezilla (or the like) for smartphones to more easily copy over apps & media in bulk....

I have two VPNs. One for privacy (e.g. general browsing) and one to reach my home NAS (e.g. to reach my selfhosted image backups). Is there a way to set the system up so that when I use applications X, Y and Z, it should use the privacy one, and if I use A, B or C, it should use the private one?

Hey guys, I’m searching for a good app that can do the text recognotion stuff the iPhone can. I have a iPhone for work and was quite impressed that it recognizes text and links that good. Is there anything like it on Android? Bonus points if its Open Source.

I’m going to repurpose my S21 since I just got a new phone that could be rooted and have the boot loader unlocked. However, I’ve told that the U.S variant of the S21 (Snapdragon 888) can’t be rooted and have the boot loader unlocked. Is this true and I’m simply chasing a pipedream? Or can it actually be done?
