Hunter the Vampire would be a great name for a show starring Walton Goggins and Danny McBride

Is this some kind of discrimination or a racist post?

CuttingBoard OP ,

No, it’s a joke and I’m Jewish.

Hmm that’s at least extremely inappropriate in this community, especially now.

Based purely from their comment yesterday I would say it’s ironic.

intensely_human , to fediverse in The countries with the most Fediverse servers are rich and former/current colonial powers. One of the best true barometers of the success of the Fediverse is how quickly we can turn that on its head.

Yes Lemmy is a form of wealth. It’s the sort of thing you’d expect to see in a wealthy country

supersquirrel OP ,

Then how do we most effectively fight wealth inequality along the axis of software, fediverse software in particular?

meep_launcher , to funny in The only thing standing between you and your dreams

OOC:

Ya know, take a moment to look around. Think about yourself a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago. What were your biggest problems then? What are your biggest problems now?

My hope is that you have better problems now than you did back then. I also hope you are doing some things now that you only dreamed of back then. I hope you had the courage and opportunity to make the moves you used to be terrified of.

The thing with success, is that it’s not the top of some mountain. It’s this elusive thing that keeps you dreaming for more and more, because you don’t just stop dreaming if you “attain” success.

“When you take a moment to accept things as they are, you don’t need to hope anymore because you realize where you are is kind of okay.”

Solution is simple; don’t use Google I use a SearXNG instance 🙃

Postgres is a weird one. The first link probably answers the query, just click the latest version (or your version) once you are there.

The problem is probably so many systems run old versions, so the results skew.

laughterlaughter ,

It doesn’t matter. List all the crap you want, but show me the most up to date official documentation for the postgres “IN” operator in the very first result! It can’t be that hard.

fmstrat ,

But the 9.6 version, or 11 version, could be the most popular.

laughterlaughter ,

Well, in that case it’s a shitty search engine if it doesn’t offer accurate results.

And, well, that’s what we have with Google.
