This is probably a bit circle jerky, but I remember when my mom would buy groceries for an entire month and was devastated that it cost $100 (for a family of 4). We lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere but it’s still crazy to imagine getting that much out of that little these days
I get the notification thing. I can’t stand abrasive notifications, but do not disturb schedules are a thing and can be set to allow certain people through (at least on Android).
Mild sidebar: I switched from a decade’s long iPhone use to Android. They’re so much more customizable. Tell me again how my phone is better? People are there ridiculous blue bubble cult, smh.
I think the joke is twofold. First of all, Microsoft pretty much has a monopoly on financial software with their excel, which shows that the entire global finances are in the hands of that crab.
The second joke, must be that they never bother updating the suite to the latest, and solely depend on 2013🤷
For certain values of “works”. I also think the learning curve is part of the issue. You end up doing stuff Excel has no business handling but is there due to the absurd scope-creep.
Not just financial documentation, but everything. Planning staff levels, work assignments, quarterly reports, bonus calculations, pto administration, and more. There’s likely people retiring that wrote an excel macro 20 years ago that still part of a critical business process.
I didn’t show it in the picture but I plant on a hill so excess water runs off. It’s also been dry the past few weeks. Another thing I’ve noticed is the tips of the leaves are turning black before dying. Is it possible that this is from last month where we had more rain?
