The tricky thing is that the AIPAC Is one of the most well funded PACs in the US. Going against them is quite honestly political suicide. If you play ball with them, you’ll have all the money you’ll need. If you go against them, they’ll fund the opposition in such a way that you cannot match. We really need to get money out of politics, a single group should not have so much influence.
The article says that, unfortunately, they’re on kind of shaky ground here.

And you say: ‘That’s okay, you’re all gone.’” Musk chuckled but did not respond to Trump’s comments, making it harder for the NLRB to find him liable for making illegal threats to workers at his companies, said Wilma Liebman, chair of the NLRB under former President Barack Obama.
Under federal law, workers cannot be fired for going on strike, and threatening to do so is illegal under the National Labor Relations Act, the UAW said in a statement.
I totally agree that they violated that law in spirit, but I don’t know if the NLRB will go for it.
From the WSJ article covering this suit: “The UAW, which has endorsed Kamala Harris, the presumptive presidential nominee for the Democrats, has been eager to blunt the former president’s appeal to working-class voters by painting him as a friend of the wealthy.”
No shit he’s a friend of the wealthy. He keeps insisting he is wealthy himself, while threatening anyone that wants to actually verify that for decades. And dealing with fraud charges for various financial “irregularities”.
Carbon credits were the biggest climate scam ever invented. Corporations either emit carbon or they don’t. This whole concept of ‘corporation A could’ve produced 1 million cons of carbon but didn’t, so now corporation B pays them a few millions and gets to emit that same amout while claiming to be “carbon neutral”’ needs to stop, it’s too ripe for abuse.

Wait, record number of people are arriving because things are worse elsewhere making net migration in positive? Let’s downplay that because predictions show that MIGHT slow down and it hurts our story about how bad things are.
Are any of their old slots up for grabs? I work remote, get paid in a currency that’s not currently eating itself, and I can spend my weekend helping with the rat eradication if that helps with the stamp of approval.
