Knew a guy like that at work, but he wasn’t self-aware enough to realize it. He would take hours of one of our people. When someone finally said something to him, he got all bent out of shape about it, and would walk by with friends while making comments about “he’s not allowed to talk to <coworker> any more”.
Still, our coworker was better off, so overall it was a win. She didn’t really want to talk to him that much either.
If you have heard bad things about this edition performance wise, it’s in the past. Played it around 1 or 2 months ago and had no issues whatsoever.
Game itself is quite good. Liked Fallout better, but had fun with this one as well. Combat might get a bit dull after a while, but everything else was alright. Main story was solid, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking, same goes for side missions and DLCs. World / atmosphere was really cool, companions and dialog options were a lot of fun. You can take the usual evil/good path and slightly change the world (available missions) around you.
The way WSL1 worked is actually quite interesting: The NT kernel always had the capability to run multiple subsystems, with Win32 only being one of them and there were subsystems available for OS/2, POSIX and later UNIX. WSL1 was pretty much a revival of that feature. So WSL1 is indeed somewhat like Wine, but making heavy use of some features built into the kernel. So yeah, no real boot process happening.
(Also it’s kinda stupid that the ‘S’ in WSL2 still stands for ‘subsystem’, despite not using that feature anymore.)
