It does make me think about a US China war.

It’s reasonable to assume the US would be the aggressor (the ratio of countries invaded since WW2) and all their weapon components are refined and manufactured in or around China; rare earths, chips, etc.)

They would have to win quickly and dominate completely: read brutally.

So I’m ever optimistic there won’t be a war.

The large /var suggests flatpak, and that plays some hardlinking games.

(If you ever need to free up / space, shifting your flatpak usage to a --user repo will help a lot. No there is no handy command for that, it’s a matter of adding and deleting one package at a time.)
