Why did you post a screenshot of search results instead of just picking a good one and posting that?

linearchaos OP ,
@linearchaos@lemmy.world avatar

Actual link I provided in the body shows one perspective of shots. Overall is single image of them could be modified or blurred the same reason I posted the results from the cloud. What’s something looks that unreal I usually look for multiple sources.

Perhaps I’m overthinking it. Living forward I’ll just post single source images.

metallic_substance ,

No worries. I was just curious

I tried this in university. I knew the right answer but not how to get it, so I made a “mistake” in the calcs. It was circled with “something’s not right”. No marks.

It looks pretty good for a picture of a screen.

Gross, someone injected news into this ad site.

This hit me the same as that one person blogging about doll customization and not clarifying until the end

Looks so cool! How much juice is the whole rack pulling?

doctorspike OP ,

Last I checked it was ~200W on average for everything and only gets up to about 250W when the main server is pegged at 100% usage.

Kitikuru ,

That’s surprisingly lower than I expected it would be for all that

clutchmatic ,

In essence those are just a PC, switch, NAS, and UPS…

RandallFlagg ,

Damn that’s good, seems really power efficient for something that big.

Makussu ,

My whole homelab pulls something like 150 for 2 Servers (one ryzen 5 and one i3 8th gen). 200 seems not so much for urs. Have you done any power optimisation on your machines?

doctorspike OP ,

by power optimization I assume you mean like overclock tuning on the mother boards and adjusting sleep schedules, HDD sleep timing and the like? I admit I haven’t done much of that. just stock power and sleep settings.

And they wonder why people don’t visit News sites

Willie , to youshouldknow in YSK: Cats don't like their whiskers touching their food bowl. This is why they beg even if food is still left at the bottom.

Yeah, I learned about this as a child, since my cat would put her paw into the cat bowl and pull pieces of dry food out to eat on the floor.

I started putting her food on a plate and no more food was pulled to the floor.

The kitten I have now plays too rough and breaks all his whiskers off, so he doesn't mind the bowl. But he'll also get a plate if he mellows out.

To be fair to the journal, most people use the app which is far more palatable. This is their Home Screen right now for example ibb.co/fS4gmJc

grue ,

That’s only because the app is making them money by stealing all the personal info it can from your device instead.

All of those photos have filters etc. Beautiful rock formation, but they do not look like that. Maybe they would be half that vibrant if they are wet while the sun is out like a sun shower or something.

lmao, right? This moves beyond “mild” to plain ol’ infuriating imo.

That's how all the tech sites have gotten, by the way. Engadget, The Verge, Macrumors.. all devoting huge space to Amazon Prime ads masquerading as journalism. Amazing that Amazon pulled this off through their affiliate program.
