Despite the literal mountains of shit that has come out of China, they are capable of making some nice things.
The RG35XX hit the right spot of having “good enough” hardware at a low price. It’s been a smash success.
If you look at something like the RG353M, it costs more than twice as much as the RG35XX, is a little faster, but its design feels ultra premium like something Samsung or even Apple would make. It’s compact, metal, and has quite a bit of heft.
How do you like this model? I love handheld consoles. I have a Steam Deck but for traveling I’d like to get something way lighter and smaller to just toss in my bag. Tempted to dip for one of these soon.
I suppose it is a preference of metal or plastic and vertical or horizontal form factor. There is also joystick and D-Pad placement. Since I almost never use the joysticks for retro gaming I prefer the D-pad and buttons to be on the top. I also prefer the metal casing to the plastic, but it is slightly heavier.
The fish taste better after they have been shaken up a bit.
It’s a tradition thing. “According to Wikipedia, the tradition actually started as a prank with one of the employees at Pike Place Fish Market. The crowd enjoyed the yelling and throwing so much that it became a regular thing. The fish throwing is more popular than ever.”
All official local, national, global government and information/news services should immediately set up Mastodon/Lemmy instances, or at least accounts on established federated instances. It’s the only way to insure stability. Musk and his Saudi/RW anti-democratic partners acquired twitter to kill it.
Hi, my name is power2bill. Feels odd to not have RIF on my phone. I’m going to lurk for awhile and make a comment every 2-3 months. Hopefully, new communities pop up that I used to go on from reddit. I’ll be here enjoying usefully, and sometimes not useful information. Cheers everyone! 🍻
I’m finding that quite a lot of communities exist, they just take more work at the moment. For me, I’ve found a uk community but cannot post due to signing up to .world. creating an extra account doesn’t send the verification email. I see all this of teething problems tho as was always the case with reddit.

I assume you’ve worked it out by now but you do not need a second account! Unless you want to move off .world to something smaller and less laggy ofc which I would definitely understand 😅
I always was confused why Imax places built 20 years ago still have such a premium. Does the Imax light cost more? I get that the Imax movie data costs more but I can’t see the rational for double the ticket price.
The equipment (projectors/sound system) is better/more expensive. The imax/Dolby theatres themselves are also sometimes higher quality than standard format theatres.
But how does a cost years ago (the better projectors/sound system) somehow mean the cost is higher today then when built? I remember paying maybe 15% more for Imax 15 years ago and now they are double. I get costing more but when normal tickets are $20 and Imax are $36 it seems they have lost their mind.
Hi, all! This is my first comment on Lemmy. I’m exited to be here!
It’s sad watching Reddit go the way of the dodo, but I’m happy to see everyone come together to give the big ole fuck you to u/spez in solidarity and migrate over when they effectively broke Apollo and the other 3pd apps
In our current unparalleled enterprise, refusal to switch platforms is simply a refusal to grow—an insistence on watching ads, if you will. Did the Digg user refuse to Reddit? It did not. It crept forth boldly while its brethren remained in the blackest ocean abyss, with lidless eyes forever staring at the dark, ignorant and doomed despite their eternal vigilance. Would we model ourselves on the Facebook user?
