Then you probably haven’t heard of the old sci fi movie Soylent Green that this is also referring to! The food in that movie might also vary from person to person.

I don’t own a car and walk or bike everywhere I need to. I buy clothes and things I need second hand and support local shops when it comes to food and drink. I live in a small apartment/flat and recycle everything I can.
I don’t even care about the state of the world anymore. I’ve given up - the world is fucked. Can’t do anything about it, and I’m doing everything I can - so I’ll just carry on and live my life. Yeah, people will be fucked down the line, but what am I supposed to do more than what I’m already doing?

The only downside is that people could literally spend their whole lives asking themselves what if using the what if machine than actually living their lives. Very much like that black mirror episode that featured the device that allowed people to relive all their memories.

If 2020 Gave Us Zombies Instead Of A Pandemic. It was pretty depressing in realizing how easy we could solve crises, but we can’t, since some politicians prefer talking points, and too many sheep happily follow. And measures against the pandemic were just a temporary inconvenience, while the climate crisis seems to be here to stay, growing stronger every day.
