Why do you think Ubuntu is the favourite distro at Microsoft? They’ve tried extinguishing Linux through suse, but are now back on the old EEE plan with canonical helping them.
I used to use Ubuntu before unity and switched to Debian 👑 in 2012. I still have to use Ubuntu for work and I just get on with it. It could be worse… I could have to use windows.
Anyway my main gripes with Ubuntu are snaps and how they keep swapping packages in apt to be installed as snaps .
I dont hate it, its a tool and in most cases I can use it and there is no problem if not there are other options.
There is some stuff that I hate, but I tend to come back to it for my home server just because of livepatch, which is nice to minimize the amount of reboots necessary and having a patched kernel for all my LXCs makes then also automatically protected.
I think it’s more of a gaben hate thing, since the epic store can’t really make a dent to steams marketshare, even when they straight up give away games.
Sweeney is like a man-child who thinks that he should receive higher praise as his more popular counterpart simply because he takes the exact opposite stances on many issues as some kind of underdog. Blockchain economies, the legal gray zone of generative AI, Linux support; and kicking his superiors in the shin and crying to the world when he gets shoved in return.
Epic will always be a lesser store platform, and Sweeney will always be a lesser man.
Good catch! The Lemmy UI isn’t straightforward. I thought I needed to upload a separate image for the post—not that you choose between URL vs. image despite the UI seemingly allowing both. Fixed!
I couldn’t tell you how far into the series it is, but that is how I came across Detective Conan. Nearing a decade ago I found it on netflix and had absolutely no clue what was going on but I stuck with the maybe 12 or so episodes they had. I eventually learned that it was pretty far into the series. Couldn’t tell you how far, but pretty far in.
“Just wait till my evil demon gets to amorally act with impunity!
What? He already is?”
There is no way the sc will rule that chief executives can be prosecuted for crimes committed while in office. Every former president would be drowned in lawsuits immediately. Discovery alone would subject so much information to FoIA that it would require additional staff.
