Tiktok Links finde ich jetzt wirklich nicht so schlimm.
Die kann man problemlos auch ohne Account anschauen.
TwitterX ist auch immer nervig, aber geht noch.
Aber vor allem Links von Instagram kann man fast komplett vergessen.
Selbst wenn ich in Instagram einen Link geschickt bekomme kann ich das oft nicht anschauen, weil das Profil einer “Haha-Funny-Meme”-Seite auf Privat gestellt ist, damit jeder der sich etwas anschauen will auch auf Folgen klicken muss.
Und dann spielen die Videos meist von alleine und man kann sie nur ein Mal gucken, ohne nen Account zu haben. Dann kann ich es auch direkt sein lassen.
Da es nicht ganz klar war, mir geht es um Insta Posts. Und in meinem Fall öffne ich die meist auf dem Smartphone. Da spielen sie dann direkt los und sobald sie fertig sind kommt ne Meldung, dass ich nen Account machen soll, wenn ich das Video ein weiteres Mal gucken möchte. 🤷
Vor allem gibt es sowohl für twitter als auch für tiktok alternative Front ends (nitter und proxitok). Bei instagram muss man auf die originale Webseite gehen und sich schmutzig fühlen :(
Es hatte zwischenzeitlich Probleme als man nen account benötigt hat, um überhaupt tweets (Xe?) zu sehen, aber mittlerweile funktioniert es wieder problemlos bei mir
Schon bei einem einzigen Klick auf ein TikTok-Video fühle ich, wie meine Seele aus dem Leib gezogen wird und in ein Profil auf dubiosen Servierern gepresst wird. Und wenn dann das automatisch abspielende nächste Video kommt und es mir gefällt, dann weiß ich: sie haben mich. Da hilft nur noch hartes Zurücksetzen des Telefons.

PSA: if you install Obtanium, it’ll works as an updater for any git repo release apps like this. Just link the source code page and enable “enable prerelease” and it’ll download the APK, and it’ll check it periodically to run seamless updates. Also Obtainium will update itself from grabbing its own releases from it’s git repo page.
Yup, I’ve been testing it for a while now. Dude chose codeberg out all of these sites. Could’ve gone to gitlab, but nope, codeberg it is. I don’t want to create yet a new account with another site. Lol So, I’ve just linked it through obtainium and I’ve been getting all the alpha releases. Coming along nicely
Second after Relay, but it was pretty close. This is awesome news though as I could not find anything for Lemmy. Hopefully soon on F-Droid & in the future with kbin support as well.
