Is there a point to making an account on multiple Lemmy servers?
I’m currently on sh.itjust.works, but wondering if I should also apply for a Beehaw user, and whether that comes with any benefits over just using my current user.
There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.
Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

I’m about 70% through the second Jurassic Park book and it’s ok. People on /r/books seemed to think it was even better than the first, but it feels like a slog compared to the first. I’m looking forward to moving on to Stephen King’s The Stand.
I’ve set one up using the docker instructions but i can’t log in to it… When i try to signup or login the green button just swirls constantly…

I’ve been working with the two suggested LemmyNet installation methods; Docker and Ansible. Neither are too wild of a setup, but they aren’t plug and play docker-compose-like, either....
Unlike many other large subreddits r/books has not made any statements about the API changes. I did try and post something about it but it ended up getting deleted. At 22.1 million users this would be a pretty significant addition to the protest....
I just don’t get how Lemmy is going to act as a proper replacement for Reddit....
