I want to create a Pixelfed account but I’m not sure which instance to choose. I’m in the US, so I was just going to pick the default and largest option, but I know spreading out the instances is one advantage to the federated network, so it then makes sense to choose a smaller one....
i have basic self hosting experience with docker compose mostly and the Arrs, but would love to have an instagram alternative for close friends and family. pixelfed seems to be the option but just looking at the guides and some of the posts about it and it seems daunting. any advice?

After rarbg was taken down, most trackers I have been using aren’t working for me. I use qbittorrent plugins and if I start a torrent that supposedly has hundreds or thousands of seeders, the downloads never receive data....
