I hope this is on topic for this community - I have been using these Merkury (Geeni) smart bulbs in my house for several years now, and suddenly three of them (out of 9) forgot who they were and lost connection to my home network. I have fixed this in the past by factory resetting them, which is done by cycling power to them...

My friends all have gallery apps that can sort by faces or search for things on pictures and I’m sitting here still using Simple Gallery. Is there a “smart” gallery app, that’s open source, ideally offline and privacy/security respecting?

I’ve been having issues with GTA V on Linux too, with performance being heavily affected by a growing ram consumption that either just slows down the game, creates intense stutters, or just makes it freeze entirely by consuming every ram&swap available....

Hi. I got a new instance of Lemmy up on my server, but outgoing emails aren’t working with Gmail. I have a paid account with Gmail, and previously have used outgoing mail with other services(like phpbb and Mastodon), and they worked. If you can provide some help, that would be much appreciated. I have a projector that needs limited rgb range, but for some reason (maybe a faulty hdmi-vga dongle) the intel driver selects full range. I want to force the limited rgb range when I plug the projector, but I need it set to auto normally, because my usual monitor needs full range....
