You may be mostly familiar with dragons as huge, flying reptiles.

But in German folklore, dragon can also be shapechanging trickster spirits!

Young dragon lovers will love this extraordinary tale about courage, determination and the power to stay true to ourselves despite the circumstances.
Strong is an inspiring story with beautiful illustrations. I loved the sweet atmosphere and the strong will of the main character. It is a great read to remind young ones how special they are.

The last of the once-proud lindwurm dragons of the Gevezin area found a rather ignomious end.

The dwarves of old knew how to summon dragon servants, and could provide these to others.

But those who own such a dragon should be careful to always heed the feeding instructions...

There are actually quite a few tales about people ending up in dragons' caves for extended time periods, and surviving to tell the tale.

"Hibernating" dragons actually sustain themselves from the fluids that seep into the underground rock caves they inhabit.

Humans can sustain themselves from these fluids as well for a time, but this might lead to long-term health complications.

You don't always need a Knight in Shining Armor to slay the dragon, as any player knows.

You just have to play dirty.

While dragons are rightfully feared for their fiery breath, the emissions from their posteriors should not be underestimated, either.

If someone has messed with the supplies in your attic, it might be a wild animal.

Then again, it might be a dragon!

Hey, mastodon! Nerds of a Feather is reviewing a bunch of Novellas this month, and I have the honour of contributing the first review of Nerds today. It's a review of Indra Das's 'Last Dragoners of Bowbazar', which is a thoughtful meditation on memory, identity, and coming of age, but which does not quite deliver on the promised dragons.
