If they leave they’ll be less idiots with more money than sense around so I’m all for it.

“More likely”. So are they leaving or not? It’s easy to say that they are, but actually leaving takes effort.

nogooduser ,

Yeah. It’s a pretty meaningless statistic really.

I was definitely more likely to leave the UK after the brexit referendum than before it but I’m still here. The chances before were less than 1% and the chances after were closer to 1% but probably still didn’t exceed it.

P.s. I’m not a millionaire in case anyone is wondering.

9500 out of 150,000 are saying they’ll go. OK then. See you later I suppose.

Cool. Enjoy seeing someone else enjoying your swanky London penthouse and your manor in the country. Maybe even let tourists go through the latter.

Sertou , to games in World of Warcraft: The War Within's pre-patch event has been fixed, removing 90-minute wait times and turning its weekly quests into account-wide dailies

Too late. Someone at Blizzard should have remembered that “You never get a second chance to make amfirst impression.” No amount of FOMO will bring me back to this tedious grind disguised as an event.

KoboldOfArtifice ,

I think their main problem was that it was again reliant on the same ramp up that is typical for Pre-Patch events.

The lack of communication in that left people assuming that the current speed of acquisition was all there was, when most likely there was no worry about missing out even if you joined in the last week. People with alts also had a massive advantage.

Could have all been solved with more communication. While you can’t make two first impressions, it still seems like a fun enough event and the rewards are neat. Not enough to play the game just for the event, but I doubt that that’s ever the intent behind these. They’re just there to set the mood a bit for the upcoming release.

Sertou ,

Good points all. Blizzard never has prioritized communication.

Once again focusing on the “villain” Chinese company, instead of performing sweeping reforms that will actually stop this shit from happening.

Because im sure that Google, Meta, YT, and other American sites DEFINITELY dont do the same things…

So how do these bones in our ears help mammals survive? Not really seeing the link here. Weak article.

catloaf ,

You don’t see how the sense of hearing is an evolutionary benefit?

QuarterSwede ,
@QuarterSwede@lemmy.world avatar

Hearing existed before mammals. That’s the issue. How do bones being involved in hearing help?

catloaf ,

It’s much more sensitive, and much more suitable to hearing in air on land, as opposed to underwater in pre-mammalian amphibians.

This user is just link farming to the same domain in every post. I have seen other user accounts doing the same thing recently and the article quality is simply poor. SPAM

Yes, user should (at least try to) provide their own message, if not and it just post links to (their own?) pages then account should be marked as Bot IMHO.
