And it’s time to resume reading Star Wars - The New Jedi Order: Agent of Chaos I, Hero’s Trial, by James Luceno. Last year I tried to read this book at least three times, but Luceno’s unnecessary verbiage bothers me too much. It is one thing for you to pay attention to the details (and run the risk of being called verbose). Another thing is that you put several alien words and expressions that contribute nothing to the narrative. 1/4

@factolvictor @bookstodon It's definitely a facet of his writing that you either love or hate! Luceno's strength as an EU writer is that he digs DEEP into all the dangling plot threads and unanswered questions left by other writers and not only manages to wrangle them into something compelling, but wraps them up in a satisfying way so that other writers don't need to dance around answering the issue (see: Plagueis, Tarkin)

@factolvictor @bookstodon Again, love or hate depending on what you feel the purpose of a shared universe should be (i.e. how much homework is necessary) but books that synthesize ideas other writers have put forth are valuable in its own right imo

@BBCRD Awesome! I'd love to see the BBC expanding into other avenues across the fediverse. Have you considered adopting the Ligma protocol to standardize traffic across instances?
