Hey, y’all! Just another random, loudmouthed, opinionated, Southern-fried nerdy American living abroad.

I’m moving off kbin to lemmy, so I won’t be posting from here (unless kbin social gets it together).

Thing is, it didn’t ultimately have to release on series S. Larian could very well have decided it was too much work to get it to work, and Microsoft didn’t want Xbox left out of such a big release. I think as the generation goes on, you’re going to see a lot more devs and studios deciding or not worth all the extra cost to try to get a have running on S for an Xbox release, or games will get nerfed from the early development stage, unless Microsoft lighten up on their parity requirements.

So they’ll most likely decide to completely remove features from the Xbox releases rather than try to get them to work on S, which will lead to worse gaming options on the Xbox. Which Sony will absolutely love.

Thing is, it could’ve been ok if they’d put more RAM in it. It’s got less RAM than the One, which is what’s going to hurt it long term.

stopthatgirl7 OP ,
@stopthatgirl7@kbin.social avatar

RAM feels like it’s the one thing they really shouldn’t have skimped out on, because that’s the one that’s going to affect longevity the most.

Oh trust, I’m complete aware of how badly Sony has been effing it up, so much that I’ve gone from being a strictly PS console gamer to a PC gamer.

You all hate discs until you have a library that you can rent games for free close to you.

It’s actually illegal where I live to rent out games. Thanks, Nintendo! (/^^)/⌒●~*

Japan. Nintendo got it passed into law years ago that game’s can’t be rented, because of supposed piracy concerns. But you can go to any video rental place and borrow all the music CDs you could want, because we all know how much more difficult it is to make mp3s from a CD than copy a game.

I watched a YouTube video where the guy played Cyberpunk on a PS4 from disc with no patches installed. It was as bad as you think.

Unfortunately, we still have to pay for things. No work = no money = no food or housing

That would be nice. But governments aren’t so hype on UBI yet.

Alas, we do everything on Google because we’re using Classroom, Drive, and their office suite. Since I’m already having to the use Google for everything, I just use Chrome for everything work-related.

Disputes over “India” versus “Bharat” have gained ground since opposition parties in July announced a new alliance — called INDIA — to unseat Modi and defeat his party ahead of national elections in 2024. The acronym stands for Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. Since then, some officials in Modi’s party have demanded that the country be called Bharat instead of India.

Ahh. Ok.

From the article:

The organisation says it plans to release the rhinos into secure, well-managed areas to protect them from poaching and it will work with funding partners, governments and other conservation groups to ensure this happens.

Just click on the “I have disabled my ad blocker” and you can see the article just fine. It doesn’t check.

A big part of why is that the guy was really badly injured in the fire. Over 93% of his body was badly burned and he had to recover before they would put him on trial.

I actually just watched a special on him that came out about him a few days ago, talking about the Aoba case. It was really interesting to see how he felt about the whole thing.

Reddit users are reporting Christian websites for violating Virginia's new porn identification law, citing vulgar passages in the Bible (www.insider.com)

As more and more states pass laws targeting "pornographic material" in books and online, they are repeatedly running up against a problem: The Bible has not just a few passages that could be considered indecent

I fricking hate how we’re expected to gently explain in soothing voices and educate and be understanding of people who damn well want us dead and who wouldn’t even extend someone on the left the courtesy of even pissing on them if they were on fire. We’re supposed to extend them every grace and courtesy while they’re not expected to do the same to us.
