My favorite read of July was CREATURE: PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, AND REFLECTIONS, by Shaun Tan.

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon My favorite read from July was What Moves The Dead by T. Kingfisher. But she's the greatest fantasy author of the 21st century, so that's almost unfair.

I'm still in the middle of One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, but it will be a strong contender if you ask me again at the end of August!

Besides Shakespeare, were you assigned more than one book by the same author in school? K-12, not college. @bookstodon

@albnelson @peachfront @bookstodon My senior year we read Inferno by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle along with Dante's Inferno. I went on to read many other things by Niven and/or Pournelle (although not the rest of the original Divine Comedy).

I'm rewatching Space 1999 and I cannot believe the massive drop in quality between Season1 and Season 2. In every respects, stories, character development (or lack thereof), set design, costumes, soundtrack. Unbelievable. @allstartrek What a waste.
