Today is Ira Levin's birthday.
These were some of the first adult horror books I ever read besides Stephen King, because my mother had this set of hardcovers. She let me have it when I moved out. They're so different than the books she read(s)- I don't think she ever even read these- but I'm glad the universe sought fit to bring them into my life.

(I got the paperback of STEPFORD WIVES a couple years ago because I adore the cover.)

I read Rosemary's Baby long before I saw the movie. Then when I did see it I was amazed at how closely it followed the book.
