Anyone get the sense that billionaires and all aristocrats operate in honor and treasure? They are distinct from a business mindset. Different culture, different senses of value.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @anthropology All people have similar values. The myth of the billionaire sociopath is useful propaganda, but if they were really that deranged they'd be hunting people who cut them off in traffic.

When you reach the top, honor becomes the only way to distinguish yourself from other people and everyone wants to view themselves as virtuous and charitable generally. Billionaires have the excess resources to act on that whim from time to time.
