Never?

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Don’t use the words never or always. It rarely leads to an accurate statement

I think it makes sense to use violence against people committing genocide, for example

Anyone else gave a link to the PDF if the orders that loads?

It says “Enable JavaScript and cookies to continue” after you click the language

Make any Distro Immutable (github.com)

It is by design non-invasive and should work on any distro which meets the requirements; Btrfs root and systemd-boot bootloader. With non-invasive I mean; it doesn’t mess with your normal OS and its configuration, it can be rolled out, toyed around with and just as easily be removed again....

How do I create a docker container with custom programs inside?

Hello! I have a free account at hide.me and would like to try to use it with my docker compose containers. The free plan does not give me the keys for openVPN of Wireguard configuration, but only through the official client. I’d like then to create a docker container that runs the official hide.me client inside, and exposes it...

It sounds like you want Qubes

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

The risk if human error is too high. Docker isn’t designed for security. What you want is Qubes. Its destined to do these things.

FreeCAD has a navigation method specifically for trackpads

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Where does it say that this is specific to Linux?

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Why would you use UserVoice instead of GitHub?

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Yeah what ever happens to cold-to-hot colors?

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Yeah I dont understand this. Only thing I can think is that news is more TV in the north and more phone based on south?

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

So, TV isn’t a screen according to this, right?

Fuckin Iryna at it again

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Wtf how is the high end 9 hours? That’s just my time at work. It doesn’t even include the commute, reading the news, and talking with friends.

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Yeah, not sure how the average is less than 8 hours. That’s insane back-to-nature primitivism shit

Anarchy doesn’t mean the absence of moderation.

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

No, its not. But it is a common misconception because the media is terrible. I recommend reading some books on Anarchy.

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Ok but dont spread misinformation then

If you’re white its much less risky. The settlers and military are conducting an ethnic cleansing of Palestinians (and are trigger happy of all brown people). This is why international solidarity from white people is super important.

You can help in other ways. Spend a few hours marketing it. Or open feature requests or bug reports. If you can, contribute a new feature.

I doubt they’re downvoting it because its not English. That would be ridiculous

I think you mean US Americans. Most Americans speak Spanish.

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

Fact: the US uses the metric system for decades (maybe closer to a century?). All federal contracts in the US must be in metric. Its not the same at the State level, and its not mandated for private businesses–unless they’re working for the federal government.

Also every US American is taught metric in schools.

I prefer thunar &

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

When I type, it does what you expect (going to the file/folder in the current directory by what you type).

Some time ago the others started doing some annoying search thing when you type, and I can’t find how to turn that off. Anyway thunar is simper and gets the job done faster

This is how you can get offline Wikipedia articles for OSM. Great when traveling.

You can, for example, read articles about things you pass in a plane, train, auto, or bike. Without internet.

I guess you live on the US. Most of America doesn’t have this problem

library_napper ,
@library_napper@monyet.cc avatar

I live in America. I do not live in the US. There are over 30 countries in America.

library_napper ,

US is shorter

library_napper ,

In OsmAnd you can download map data for use offline. In the same download page for thr map data there’s also a download for Wikipedia data.

Download data is per country, so someone just bundled all the articles that have GPS coordinates withing the bounds of each country, and you can download all those articles for offline use in the OsmAnd app.

I’m currently hanging my hat in America. I’m not in the US.

It doesn’t matter where I am. That doesn’t affect thr really that conflating the US with all of America is rude to the vast majority of the population across two continents.
