Every sperm is good

Every sperm is wanted

kent_eh , (edited ) to nostupidquestions in Why don't electric car manufacurers put solar panels on the car roofs?

On the other hand: most cars are not moved 23h a day. They just stand around.

It doesn’t take much shade to have a signifigant reduction in the output of a solar panel.

Unless you are parking in an open field with no trees or tall buildings around, your power generation will be signifigantly reduced.

Not that the amount of power generated by a panel the size of a car roof is all that much, even under ideal conditions.

kent_eh , to news in L.A. County wants to cap rent hikes at 3%. Landlords say that would push them to sell

Because they’re over leveraged. They’ve purchased assets when rates were low and now that rates have gone up they haven’t factored this into their profit margins

Nobody forced them to make risky business decisions.

This is the consequences of their actions and shouldn’t be anyone else’s problem.

large corporate landlords who could profit with smaller margins.

Could, but typically refuse to.

kent_eh , (edited ) to nostupidquestions in Is there any significance to people using emojis that match their skin tone?

Everyone simply saw the yellow ones as neutral toned.

I use those ones because they’re closer to the top of the list, therefore faster to scroll to when I’m choosing an emoji.

kent_eh , to news in 'Democrats have a plan': Marjorie Taylor Greene unleashes new election conspiracy theory

I don’t really care who originally came up with a good idea, I only care that it gets implemented.

kent_eh , to world in America’s Commute to Work Is Getting Longer and Longer

but it’s kinda hard to mop the floors where I work from home.

Yeah, the “everyone should work from home” factions seems to ignore those of us whose work requires us being able to touch the things we’re working on.

kent_eh , to world in America’s Commute to Work Is Getting Longer and Longer

As a country, we’ve made deliberate decisions to ignore developing mass transit,

But as an individual, I need to have an income, and I need a place to live that my income will support sustainably.

I don’t get a say in where the affordable homes are in relation to where my work needs to be done. And I don’t get a say in the transportation infrastructure between those locations.

kent_eh , (edited ) to news in Southern Baptists are poised to ban churches with women pastors. Some are urging them to reconsider

Hardly.

They’re becoming extremists - even more so than they already were.

kent_eh , to news in Alex Jones agrees to liquidate his assets to pay Sandy Hook families, in move that would end his ownership of Infowars

Sometimes when the cult of personality is gone, the cult doesn’t last

I’m hoping that happens with the red hat cultists.

kent_eh , to news in President Joe Biden says he will not pardon his son Hunter Biden if he's convicted on gun-related charges

Of course that comes with the double standard that he is free to attack other politicians families, but his own is off limits.

kent_eh , to news in President Joe Biden says he will not pardon his son Hunter Biden if he's convicted on gun-related charges

isn’t just a vehicle for revenge against a former President?

Trump is the one who needs to learn that lesson

kent_eh , to news in President Joe Biden says he will not pardon his son Hunter Biden if he's convicted on gun-related charges

He probably would’ve announced this anyway, even if politics were much more normal than they are now

If politics were “more normal than they are now” it wouldn’t have been a statement he would need to make.

It’s a pretty low bar that a politician shouldn’t be assumed to be abusing their power.

Widespread homeschooling is definitely problematic.

kent_eh , to news in Vaccines don’t cause autism, but the lie won’t die. In fact, it’s getting worse.

I’d say it is ,at least partly, an education problem.

Sure, education is less likely to correct a deeply engraned false belief, but education is one of the most effective tools to prevent the lies, misinformation, and manipulation from taking hold in the first place.

However, like most preventative measures, it will take a long time to see results.
