I don’t know if you’re aware, but Hamas previously had an Israeli hostage that was freed in exchange for around one thousand terrorists from Israeli detention facilities with the aid of a third “neutral” country.

Also, are you aware of the situation in the north of Israel with the border of Lebanon? Israel previously decided to stop its military campaign (initiated after a chain of terrorist and missile attacks) after getting assurances a UN peace keeping forces will make sure no terrorist organization takes advantage of the war torn Lebanon. Israel has the military might to solve this issue right now with no risk to their soldiers, and had this capability for the better part of this 70 year old conflict, but you know why it doesn’t use that military might to spare its own people?

Israel has left Gaza in 2005 and only received missiles and terrorist attacks in return. Although no side is mother Teresa in this conflict, one is is definitely less mother Teresa than the other.
