something my brain is pursuing atm is an idea I stumbled upon writing the “book,” that claims of supremacy would seem to be about Neurotype, about what’s between the ears.
.
They will call it bloodlines or maybe culture but it occurs in many cultures - and bloodlines generally fade into mythology in the past, they are rarely literally true, but perhaps they trace the attitude, as the usual histories of series’ of conquerors do, and perhaps they all carry the spanking gene, so they’re sort of family that way, fierce enough to be proudly included.
.
There are always cases of big supremacists that don’t fit the physical description, Hitler, Enrique Tarrio, but they probably exemplify the gene and the neurotype, right?
.
I want to sort of make the case that the normals are a type, not some typeless default, complete with superpowers and disabilities, and it would seem to help that the most extreme of the normal sort seem to acknowledge their own type’s existence.
.
There’s something in that, isn’t there?
.

@punishmenthurts @actuallyautistic It might be interesting to combine this line of thought with the behavior of chimpanzees, our closest ape relative. Individuals often exhibit dominant behaviors in their group, and they also form cliques. I suspect that the biggest difference between chimps and humans is that our groups have scaled really large.

Unfortunately we are surrounded by people who do not have a shred of critical sense and who do not know how to read. Great article by Charles Stross.

@factolvictor @bookstodon Thank you for this link. It was excellent. And yes, people like Marc Andreessen will not live forever, but if they keep on talking it will seem like it.
